Quebec's Cidre Glacé: How to use this flavor?
Share
I recently received an email from a lovely customer who received a jar of “Cidre Glacé“ from our Quebec Canada gift set!
The iced cider flavor “Cidre Glacé” found in this gift set is delicious in hot teas, cold iced teas, sprinkled on cobblers or muffins. I also love using it on fresh baked pies as well as in my morning oatmeal or yogurts. I made a spinach salad with chopped walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese and balsamic vinegar. Then I sprinkled the sugar over the salad before tossing and it was absolutely amazing! It’s a delicious flavor that provides a pinch of sweetened apples to anything you’d like to try it on. I also used it recently in banana smoothies for my sons and on a frozen banana, dipped in chocolate with the sugar sprinkled over it before the chocolate fully dried. There are loads of ideas. I always say, if you like the flavor, then try it on other foods that the sweet apple combination may be a nice addition. I'm hungry now! How about you?
