The purpose of using SALTOPIA's turkey brines are to produce a more tender and flavorful turkey, roast or ham. Our combination of infused sea salts, herbs and spices dissolve in the bath, while being absorbed by the protein muscle fibers. This process allows the meat retain moisture during cooking, as well as our flavor profiles.

To use brine:

If frozen, defrost and thoroughly wash your turkey or chicken. Place poultry into a tub/pot large enough to cover the bird completely with liquid.

In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of white wine, 2 cups chicken stock, ½ cup olive oil, the juice of two freshly squeezed lemons & our brine. If your turkey is 12 pounds or greater, you will want to use the entire contents of the 16oz container. If the turkey is under 12 pounds, feel free to reserve half of the brine for another dinner! Pour the brine mixture over the bird. If the turkey is not completely covered, add a cup of water until the turkey is completely submerged. Allow the bird to soak in the brine for at least 24 hours. PLEASE keep the bird refrigerated while brining.
