Winter Baked Apples
Baked apples are a simple and delicious side dish! There are dozens of ways to make whole baked apples, cored and stuffed with all different types of ingredients. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 to 45 minutes, until the apples are cooked through and tender, but not overcooked and mushy. Try stuffing the apples with other dried fruit such as cranberries, raisins, figs or dates. We also love adding rich and earthy Gorgonzola cheese to balance out the sweeter ingredients such as brown sugar, cinnamon and or maple sugar.
